'El Juego de la Vida’

This exhibition is lead by three of Ruth Zaragoza’s newly released sculptures,  belonging to the series of Monopolies, which started in 2005, assembled with lego pieces and other objects. Her work, was born as a reflection of different contexts in which the artist has been living in, visited or spent long seasons at Barcelona, Cuba, Brazil, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Egypt, with an interest to underline the importance of the emotions; of the life experiences over the material (“over possessions”, properties, the race of a career’s success); sharing at the same time criticism of a society marked by consuming, competence, individual needs, social exclusion, a society suit to be attached to personal needs, unrelated from the political generated conflicts.
